Built in the late 1920s as a
hotel, the Villa Riviera was for decades one of the few
high rise towers on Ocean Boulevard, Long Beach. Most
owners have views of the ocean, harbor and Catalina
Island or inland view toward downtown Los Angeles,
Hollywood and the distant mountains.
The Villa Riviera is listed as an Historic Site and the
tax benefits of the Mills Act are available to owners.
It is just a short walk to the
East Village Arts District and downtown restaurants and
entertainment. The
beach, naturally, is at the foot of the building. Some units
have been updated, some have original architectural
details.
