The Bixby area is a quiet, upscale neighborhood with tree-lined streets north of the 405 freeway.  If you move to Bixby it is almost like traveling back in time to visit the world of "Father Knows Best".  The homes in this area are larger -- many over 5000 sq. ft.  And the prices are comparable.  

While spacious ranch homes are the most typical architectural style found in Bixby Knolls there are also Spanish Revival home, such as these two.

This half-timbered Tudor-influenced home is unusual for Bixby.

The Virginia Country Club is adjacent to Bixby Knolls and many of the homes in this community are architecturally distinguished.   

There are also condominiums and apartments in this area along San Antonio Road and within the Virginia Country Club.
