These large homes face
onto Marina Vista Park on the east side of Alamitos Bay in Long
Beach, California. |
The Alamitos Heights neighborhood is tucked away behind Belmont Shore and Belmont Park at
the back of Alamitos Bay. Its residents enjoy a quiet, residential
neighborhood within walking distance of the beach and bay-front parks --
without the summer tourist traffic congestion and noise.
On the east side of Alamitos Heights is the
Stoney Brook Villas condominium complex along Bellflower and Pacific
Coast Highway, but most of the neighborhood is made up of single family
homes along tree-lined streets.

The homes, shown above,
have this view of the most inland part of Alamitos Bay in Long
Beach, California. This secluded neighborhood is bounded
by 7th Street on the north and Pacific Coast Highway on the
east. A small part of it is also north of 7th. |
 |
Originally, the homes in
Alamitos Heights were ranch style homes, built in the 1950s and
1960s. Over the last two decades, these single story homes have
been replaced by much larger ones. |
To visit Alamitos Heights, turn south or north
of 7th
at Havana or go west of Bellflower across from Stoney Brook Villas.
