The Alamitos Heights
neighborhood
is tucked away behind Belmont Shore and Belmont Park at the
back of Alamitos Bay. Its residents enjoy a quiet,
residential neighborhood within walking distance of the beach
and bay-front parks -- without the summer tourist traffic
congestion and noise.

The secluded
Alamitos Heights neighborhood is bounded by 7th Street
on the north and Pacific Coast Highway on the east. A
small part of it is also north of 7th.
On the east side of Alamitos Heights is the
Stoney
Brook Villas condominium complex along Bellflower
and Pacific Coast Highway, but most of the neighborhood
is made up of single family homes along tree-lined
streets.

Originally, the homes in
Alamitos Heights were ranch style homes, built in the
1950s and 1960s. Over the last two decades, these
single story homes have been replaced by much larger
ones. |
To visit Alamitos Heights, turn south or
north of 7th at Havana or go west of Bellflower across from
Stoney Brook Villas.

Beach. The Alamitos Beach neighborhood is
adjacent to the East Village Arts District in downtown
Long Beach. It is primarily a neighborhood of rental
apartments and condos. It is nowhere near Alamitos
Heights. |
